Q: How does your machine identify products?

A: Our vending machines use AI recognition to identify products as customers swipe/tap their card and open the door.

 

Q: Is your machine air-cooled or direct-cooled?

A: We use air-cooled freezers from an Italian-European brand with over 20 years of experience. These units work like household air conditioners and prevent frosting.

 

Q: Is your equipment rainproof?

A: Our machines are splash-resistant but not fully waterproof. We're actively exploring canopy solutions for enhanced outdoor use.

 

Q: Can your equipment perform age verification for alcohol or tobacco sales?

A: Age verification is not currently enabled. We're evaluating third-party solutions for future integration

Q: How are POS fees charged?

A: The POS machine incurs a monthly rental of $10. Transaction fees 5.95%, and merchants can confirm final rates with their bank during onboarding.

 

Q: Why is pre-authorization required?

A: Pre-authorization is a temporary hold on your card to confirm you have sufficient funds. It ensures a smooth payment process and protects against unpaid orders. Unlike traditional stores, HAHA Smart Vending authorize entry first and charge after you select items. This hold:

● Verifies your card is valid

● Reserves the necessary funds (as per card network rules)

● Follows industry standards for unattended food and beverage purchases (like gas stations)

 

Q: How do pre-authorization refunds work?

A: Refunds are processed by the customer’s bank within 7 days. Delays depend on the bank.

 

Q: How do operators handle payments and taxes?

A: Payment collection and tax reporting depend on each device owner's business model and local regulations. Please consult our sales or finance team for specific guidance.

Q: Where do your products ship from?

A: We ship from a global network of strategically located warehouses to ensure fast and efficient delivery. Our current warehouse locations include:

● United States – 7 facilities in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Florida, and New Jersey (Free pickup available at these locations)

● France – Near Paris

● United Kingdom – Near London

A: For most U.S. destinations, shipping takes 5 to 10 business days. Free warehouse pickup is also available.
